Yitzhak Kaduri (born 07.09.1898 in Baghdad as Yitzchak Diba; died 28.01.2006 [29 Tevet 5766] in Jerusalem) was an orthodox rabbi in Israel. He studied the Torah, the Talmud and the Kabbalah (oral tradition of Jewish teachings). He was very intelligent and learned many texts by heart. Thousands of people visited him to seek advice, consecrate amulets or ask for blessings and healing of various diseases. His disciples even told of miracles. In his old age he was increasingly asked about political topics. Kaduri was regarded as a prophet by his followers, because he could also predict some events in the future. In the last years of his life he was occupied with finding out the identity of the Messiah. However, he did not publish his own books. He was one of the most prominent rabbis that existed in Israel.
In 2006 he died of pneumonia at the age of 108 years. Several hundred thousand people attended his funeral in Jerusalem, which was described as the largest funeral in Israel's history (see Wikipedia).
What was special about Rabbi Kaduri? There is indeed a sensational statement that made him world famous. For he of all people, an orthodox Jew and Kabbalist, gave the people of Israel the name of the Messiah = Yehoshua (or Yahoshua). This name is equivalent to the Hebrew short form Yeshua (or Yahshua) and the Greek Iesous (=Ιησους = Jesus). Absolutely nobody expected that one of Israel's most famous rabbis would make such a statement. How did it come about? In the last years of his life, Kaduri was very interested in the identity of Messiah and prayed to God for understanding. In 2005, he claimed that the Messiah appeared to him in a vision, told him his name and that he would come soon. We know a similar event from the Bible, namely the conversion of Paul when Jesus appeared to him and asked "why are you persecuting me?" (Acts 9). The purpose was to strengthen Paul in faith so that he too could become a Christian and preach the way of love. Until then Paul (a Pharisee) was a hard Christian persecutor and destroyed many families. Jesus also appeared to Mary Magdalene and to many men and women. And we all know the appearance of Jesus before the unbelieving Thomas, who said that he will only believe in Jesus' resurrection when he can see him (John 20:19–29). After that, Thomas and all the other disciples were sure that Jesus really was the Messiah of whom the scriptures spoke and who will come again. Kaduri was asked if he could be more specific about the date of the coming of the Messiah, but he only said, "after Sharon dies." On December 18, 2005, Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke, was then in a coma for about 8 years and died on January 11, 2014, This means: we are the generation that can expect the Messiah very, very soon. It could be any time.
Kaduri never told anyone the name of the Messiah; but before he died, he left a note on a piece of paper which was placed in a sealed envelope and was only allowed to be opened until a year after his death. He told that the name of the Messiah was hidden in his text. When the year was over, his disciples published the sensational text (Link1, Link2). It was not the Christians who made this text known to all people, but the followers and admirers of Rabbi Kaduri, to the people of Israel.
Taking the first letter of each word reveals the name of the Messiah: Yehoshua (=Jesus). This news shocked many Jews, because of all things the name of Yehoshua (Jesus) was mentioned in connection with the Messiah. Therefore this (for the Jews unpleasant news) was hardly noticed in the press or was simply presented as a fake. But this cannot be at all, because it must be emphasized again and again that it was not Christians who circulated this news, but the disciples of Rabbi Kaduri himself. Therefore the original note was published on the official Jewish websites of www.Kaduri.net and "News First Class" (NFC; see Link below). The followers of Kaduri insisted that the note was authentic, that is, genuine. However, they said in surprise: "We have no idea how the rabbi came to this name of the Messiah." Nevertheless, the note was removed from the website because otherwise others might think that Rabbi Kaduri meant Jesus. And nobody wanted the Jews to convert to Jesus and become Christians. This happened nevertheless, because after the publication some of his followers actually became Christians and also started to study the New Testament. Others said, "Every man makes a mistake." But it was not a mistake; it is only a mistake to run away from the truth. Others wrote: "Christians dance and celebrate." Still other Jews accused Christians of abusing this note, quote, "to justify a failed Messiah." But they are not right, for the Old Testament clearly revealed that the Messiah was to appear twice on earth, first to die (and to free us from eternal death) and the second time to save the Jews and the whole world from destruction (see explanation below).
In the scan of Rabbi Kaduri's original handwriting from September 2005, the middle text, which reports on the Messiah, is the decisive one. It is 6 words and the initial letters give the name of the Messiah Yehoshua. This is the Hebrew form of the Greek Iesous (=Jesus), which also consists of 6 letters. This has a great symbolic meaning, because the 6 is the number of man, because he was created on the 6th day. Jesus came to earth as "the Son of Man" (as emphasized several times in the gospel of Mark) to pay the death penalty for us. He was here as a man (6), but the numerical value of his name is 888, which symbolizes victory, love and eternity. In the following figure we have marked the initial letters. It should be noted that Hebrew texts are not read from left to right (as with most languages), but from right to left:
In the literature there are several variations on how the text of Kaduri is represented in modern Hebrew letters. The first version (on the left side) corresponds to the website of kaduri.net (Link), the second version on the right is from News1 (Link):

The complete text of Rabbi Kaduri's manuscript is translated from various sources as follows:
"Regarding the letter abbreviation [acronym] of the Messiah’s name:
He will raise [lift] the people and prove [confirm]
that his word and his teaching [law, Torah] stand [endure; is valid].
This I have signed in the month of mercy [=Elul, 5765 = Sept/Oct 2005],
Yitzhak Kaduri."
or:
"In the matter of the acronym for Messiah [or: Concerning the initial letters of the name of the Messiah]:

that his words and teachings stand.
I signed this in the month of Mercy [=Elul, 5765],

or:
"Regarding the reishei tivot of Messiah:
“The people shall lift up and verify
that his word and his Torah stand.”
Written with my signature in the month of Mercy [Rachamim; Elul], 5765,
Yitzchak Kaduri"
Note: The term "reishei-tivot" refers to a well-known cabbalistic "coding" in which a name is written using the first letters of the words in a sentence or paragraph. It is an acronym, a new word created from the initial letters of the individual words in a whole sentence.
As can be clearly seen, Rabbi Kaduri himself gave his disciples the solution or the instruction how to proceed in order to find out the name of the Messiah: "Concerning the acronym of the name of the Messiah..." He wrote in the first sentence that it is a matter of an acronym, that is to say that the name of the Messiah can be determined on the basis of the first letters of words. It's not difficult at all. Wikipedia defines: "An acronym is a word or name formed as a type of abbreviation formed from the initial components of the words of a longer content such as of a name or phrase, often with individual initial letters, as in NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization)..."
The important area is: ירים העם ויוכיח שדברו ותורתו ותורתו עומדים. In modern Hebrew, the same words in Times New Roman font look like this:
The first letters (initials) of the text result in the name Yehoshua (יהושוע) in Hebrew, which looks like the following in the transcription: Yarim Ha'Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim = YHVShVO = Yehoshua = Yeshua. No vowels were written out in Hebrew. At the end of the sentence the indicated "O" (depending on the word) was also pronounced as "A". It is a sound that does not occur in European languages (see Alphabet). The Hebrew form יהושוע mentioned by Rabbi Kaduri is well known and can be found in many places in the Bible.
The literal translation of Rabbi Kaduri's text is (read from right to left):
The words of Rabbi Kaduri are a reference to the Messiah and a reference to Isaiah 42:21. It literally says, "He [Yahweh] will exalt the law and make [it] honorable". In the rabbi's words, then, there is a connection between the exaltation of the Law mentioned in the Old Testament and the exaltation of the people who belong to the Messiah. In Is 42:21 it says:
"The Lord was pleased, for his righteousness' sake, to magnify his law and make it glorious" (ESV).
Over the centuries, the Hebrew language has undergone some minor changes. The long versions of Yehoshua יהושוע (Dt 3:21; Judges 2:7) and יהושע (frequently, Ex 17:9.10; Jos 1:1,10,12) have the Strong No. 3091 and occur 218 times in the OT. The short version Yeshua ישוע was mainly used after the Babylonian exile and appears 29 times in the OT (Strong No. 3442). Therefore, this short name can be found in the last books of the Bible: Ezra, Nehemiah and Chronicles (Esra 2:2,6,36; see Structure of the Bible). Yeshua (long version) and Yeshua (short version) mean the same, as the direct comparison of the mention of the identical person (Yeshua son of Jozadak) in Zechariah 6:11 (יהושע, Strong 3091) and Ezra 3:2 (ישוע, Strong No. 3442) proves. As a result, the three different versions of the same name do not have the same numerical value or numerical value (NV), but rather Yehoshua (יהושוע; NV 397 and יהושע; NV 391) and the short version Yeshua (ישוע; NV 386) (see numerical values in OT: Link). This is not about three different names, but about one name (the same person) with different spellings in the Old Testament. It is important to note that all these forms were already translated by the Jews themselves in the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Old Testament; 250 BC, Abbr: LXX) as Iesous (Ιησους, Jesus). The numerical value of this Greek name is 888, which symbolizes love and eternity (more info see Link). So the name "Jesus" is nothing else than the international name of the Greek name Iesous (Ιησους), which is the Greek translation of the two Hebrew forms Yehoshua (long version) and Yeshua (short version).
The Hebrew name Yehoshua means: "Yahweh is salvation [rescue, help]" or "Yahweh is the Savior". Therefore, the beginning of Yehoshua (YHVShVO) reminds us of Yahweh (YHWH). Jesus could not have been given a better name, for he is truly the twofold Savior. Once He came to die for our sins; the second time He will come to save Israel and the whole world. It is interesting that the short version of the name Yeshua (ישוע, Strong No. 3442) literally means "Yah saves" (Yahweh, God saves). And the word "yeshuah" (ישועה, Strong No. 3444), which follows in the concordance afterwards, means salvation, rescue, liberation, redemption and deliverance. It already appears at the beginning of the Bible:
Gen 49:18: "I wait for your salvation, O Lord"
Ex 14: "And Moses said to the people, Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation [rescue] of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."
So when a Hebrew calls for "salvation", he must unconsciously always indirectly mention the name "Yeshua/h" (Jesus).
Just as Yahweh delivered Israel out of Egypt, so Jesus delivered or redeemed us from the death penalty. Jesus stood up for us, so we don't need to be afraid anymore and can be silent. So there is a wonderful connection between the name and the destiny of the person who bears this name.
Yehoshua (long form) and Yeshua (short form) or Yoshua mean the same.
The numerical values of the several Hebrew and one Greek name differ considerably, with the number 888 expressing perfection. It is in stark contrast to the 666 (see Link). The name Yeshua, mentioned in the Old Testament, was only a foreshadow of the Perfect Jesus of the New Testament, who lived without violence, was a light and full of love, to whom therefore eternity (symbolically 888) belongs:
Y-10 + H-5 + V-6 + Sh-300 + V-6 + (o)-70 = 397 (יהושוע, Yehoshua)
Y-10 + H-5 + V-6 + Sh-300 + (o)-70 = 391 (יהושע, Yehoshua)
Y-10 + Sh-300 + V-6 + (o)-70 = 386 (ישוע, Yeshua)
I-10 + E-8 + S-200 + O-70 + U-400 + S-200 = 888 (Ιησους, Jesus)
When Jesus was crucified, Pilate had a tablet made in three languages so that all mankind might know the name of the person whom the world crucified. The names Yehoshua or Yeshua (ישוע ,יהושע ,יהושוע; Hebrew, Aramaic), Jesus (Latin) and Iesous (Ιησους or ΙΗΣΟΥΣ; Greek) were written on the table. It is the 100% same person!
John 19:19-20: "Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” 20 Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek."
The figure above shows the long version of the Hebrew name. It is also conceivable that on Pilate's tablet the short version "Yeshua" was used, which occurs more frequently in the more recent writings of the Old Testament. In any case, all people saw the name of Jesus in three languages and the Latin version is even identical to the English and German spellings. So there is no doubt about what the name of the Son of God was and is: JESUS. In earlier centuries, the Latin letter "I" was used, less "J", which is, however, identical in meaning. The distinction between the letters I and J was first made in the 16th century by French philosophers to make the pronunciation of various words clearer.
It is interesting how the widely known biblical name "Yoshua the son of Nun" was translated from Hebrew to Greek (LXX) by the Jews themselves long before Jesus' birth. The Septuagint translation originated in Hellenistic Judaism from about 250 B.C. onwards, mainly in Alexandria. There are several grammatical variants: „Ιησούς υιός Ναυή“, „Ιησούς ο υιός Ναυή“, „Ιησους ο του Ναυή“, „Ιησουν υιόν Ναυή“, „υιόν Ναυή Ιησούν“, „Ιησούς δε ο του Ναυή“, „Ιησούς ο υιός Ναυή“, „Ιησούς ο του Ναυί.“ The important point here is: the Hebrew name Yehoshua was always translated as "Jesus" (Greek: Ιησους, Ιησουν; Strong No 2424). It is the same word that was used in the whole NT. But the English (and other-language) translations of the Septuagint use the name "Yoshua" in the Old Testament and the name "Jesus" in the New Testament for the identical word, so that people with less knowledge of the Bible are not confused. However, it is important to underline in this context that the Hebrew form of the biblical name "Yehoshua (יהושע) son of Nun" is not the same as that used by Rabbi Kaduri. He used the long form יהושוע, with 6 letters, which is not related to the "son of Nun" in the Bible. Rabbi Kaduri wanted to avoid from the beginning that his disciples could confuse the living "Messiah Yehoshua" with the dead "Yehoshua, the son of Nun". He used the long version, whereas the Old Testament used the short version of the name with only 5 letters:
As mentioned above, the same long version Yohoshua (יהושוע) that Rabbi Kaduri used appears in the Bible in two Bible verses (Dt 3:21; Judges 2:7). And how was this name translated by the Jews themselves in the Greek Septuagint (LXX) over 200 years before the birth of Jesus? Answer: As "Jesus" (Iesou: Ιησου, Ιησουν) of course. An interesting fact: In Judges 2:7 the short and long versions (יהושוע ,יהושע) appear in a single sentence; it was translated as Jesus. It is 100% the same name that is often mentioned in the Greek NT. As an example, the first verse of the New Testament (Mt 1:1):
Judges 2:7: "And the people served the Lord [Hebrew Yahweh יהוה] all the days of Joshua [Hebrew יהושע Yehoshua], and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua [Hebrew יהושוע Yehoshua], who had seen all the great work that the Lord [Hebrew Yahweh יהוה] had done for Israel."
Mt 1:1: "Βιβλος (Biblos=book) γενεσεως (of [the] genealogy) Ιησου (of Jesus) Χριστου (Christ) υἱου (son) Δαυὶδ (of David) υιου (son) Aβρααμ (of Abraham)."
Some Jews claim that Christians wrongly translate the name Yehoshua as Jesus. This is not correct. The Christians did not make up this translation, because 200 years before the birth of Jesus (when the Septuagint was created), of course, there was not a single Christian. The Hebrew language also has other letters, no vowels, is read from right to left and is therefore too complicated for Christians all over the world. It is therefore all the more important to consider how the Jews themselves translated the names into other languages. More than 2,000 years before Rabbi Kaduri was born, all Jews knew that the Hebrew name Yehoshua means Jesus in Greek. Rabbi Kaduri knew exactly what effect his note would have on the whole land of Israel. That is why he wanted his note, which contains the revelation of the name of the Messiah, to be read one year after his death.
Summary: As can be clearly seen, Yehoshua, Yeshua and Jesus (Iesous) are the same name in different languages. Even the Jews themselves translated it that way, 200 years before Jesus was even born. So this is not a new Christian interpretation, but an ancient historical fact.
Kaduri's statement is interesting in several ways: The rabbi had told his disciples that the name of the Messiah could be determined from the arrangement of the letters of his message. And this is not difficult, for no complicated tricks are being played here, but only the first letter of each word is marked and already the whole world knows what the Messiah's name is, namely Yehoshua, that is to say Jesus.
Then there is another special feature, for it is not known why Rabbi Kaduri used a word of all things that could be connected with the Rapture of the Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ (= converted Christians who follow Jesus in everything)? The first word "Yarim" is derived from the Hebrew "rom" (Strong No 7311) and means "to lift, raise, pick up, go up, elevate and to be high or exalted." Interestingly, Google suggests here in some languages (e.g. German) the translation "pick up". Other translation is: "The people will raise up" or "the people are lifted up and prove..." This same word rom is also found in the Bible, in connection with the raising of Noah's Ark:
Gen 7:17: "The flood continued 40 days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high [Hebrew wataram, Strong No 7311] above the earth."
Gen 14:22: "But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted [lit: "I have raised"; Strong No 7311] my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth."
The English Wikipedia page has translated this sentence by Kaduri as follows: "he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing" (Link). There are several meanings: to raise, to pick up, to ascend, to redeem, to bring up, to resurrect, to lift up, etc. We cannot say with absolute certainty from the text of Rabbi Kaduri whether he actually meant the Rapture of the church prophesied in the Bible or not (more info). The original Hebrew text allows several interpretations. More important is the fact that he, as an Orthodox Jew, identified the name of the Messiah for the whole world. Nobody had expected that he, of all people, one of the greatest rabbis of Israel, would say something like that. Especially in the last years of his life, he has dealt with the Messiah question, as his family confirmed. Thus his prayers were obviously answered and he was able to experience what many Jews do not yet know, namely that Jesus is indeed the Messiah.
Rabbi Kaduri gave his disciples some indications as to when the Messiah would come. It becomes clear that only our present generation can be meant:
It is interesting to consider what the official version at Wikipedia is (January 2020): "Before his death, Kaduri had said that he expected the Mashiach, the Jewish Messiah, to arrive soon, and that he had met him a year earlier. It has been alleged that he left a hand-written note to his followers and they were reportedly instructed to only open the note after Rabbi Kaduri had been dead for one year. After this time period had passed, the note was opened by these followers and was found to read, "ירים העם ויוכיח שדברו ותורתו עומדים" (translated as "he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing"), which by acronym, suggested the name "Yehoshua". Such acrostics are a well recognised phenomenon in the Tanakh. Many religious Jews and counter missionaries discredit the note as a Messianic Jewish forgery. Rabbi Tovia Singer suggests that when considering the context of the note, the name Yehoshua may refer to the biblical Yehoshua Ben Nun, rather than to Jesus Christ whose original Jewish Hebrew name is traditionally believed to be the shortened version of Yeshua. "Yehoshua" in the original Greek Septuagint and New Testament is also directly transliterated as 'Jesus'. Singer also claimed that no member of Kaduri's family he spoke to 'knew anything about this note', but it is Kaduri's disciples who publicized the note and posted it on Kaduri's website" (Source: Link).
As can be clearly seen here, some Jewish circles are trying to reinterpret the words of Yitzhak Kaduri. Yoshua, the son of Nun cannot possibly mean the Messiah, for he was a man and died after Israel had left Egypt and taken the land. He did not die on the cross for our sins, but that was only Jesus, the Word of God. It is also completely understandable that Kaduri did not tell his family about this (for the Jews very uncomfortable) news, but only told his disciples, who also study the Word of God in detail. He himself only appointed his disciples (not his family) to publish this text after his death. That is why he talked about it with his disciples, because it was sensational news that was to involve all Israel. His followers know the Old Testament very well and know where the Hebrew text is about the Messiah. However, knowledge of the New Testament is necessary to fully understand the life of the Messiah Jesus and to be able to correctly classify his two comings announced by the prophets of the Old Testament.
Why did Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri make it so exciting and why did he not want the name of the Messiah to be known already during his lifetime? Simply because he would have become a traitor to many Jews. That would have done great harm to his reputation. Therefore, he wanted the news to be read only after his death. The Jews still consider the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to be a fraud. Most do not believe in him. We know from the New Testament that they led Jesus to be crucified by the Romans, they persecuted his disciples and now this same man (Jesus) is supposed to be the Messiah? This would mean that most of the Jews were deceived for 2,000 years, waiting for another Messiah. It would also mean that their ancestors led the wrong man to crucifixion. Many don't want to admit that. But Jesus (the Saviour of the whole world) came from their own people, so they could have been very happy and proud about it; what an honour! And all the writers of the New Testament are from Judaism. Without them we would have neither the Old nor the New Testament, no Bible, no Word of God, nothing at all. The Christians did not invent the Bible themselves, but it was given to them by the hand of the Hebrews. What an honour! Nevertheless, most Jews have rejected Jesus for generations:
John 1:9-13: "[Jesus] The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."
Yes, salvation comes from the Jews; these are the words of the Messiah, Jesus Christ: "You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews" (John 4:22). However, because of their many sins in the past and rebellion against God, a veil is laid over their understanding, so that most Jews do not yet realize that Jesus is really the Messiah:
2Cor 3:12-16: "Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, 13 not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. 14 But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. 15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. 16 But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed."
Only with the conversion to Jesus is the veil removed and only then can the entire Old Testament be fully understood. But if the Jews simply want to reinterpret all the many biblical passages in that refer to Jesus (including Psalm 22) to others, they can never find him in the Old Testament and the door to understanding is closed. It is only opened by humility and repentance and not by pride and arrogance.
After the death of the rabbi, the official website www.kaduri.net indicated for almost a whole year that the name of the Messiah should be revealed. Quote from Rabbi Kaduri: "The Kabbalists will study the words and reveal the secret of the Messiah." Many eagerly expected the envelope to be opened in January 2007. But nobody expected such an encrypted message. What if the Rabbi had written, "The name of the Messiah is Jesus Christ"? Then his disciples would immediately destroy the note. But it is only by using the acronym that this note has come into circulation. The rabbi knew that very well. That is why he chose this form of publication. If he had already openly pronounced the name of the Messiah during his lifetime, some would have declared him insane. But he was in his right mind until his death and received the largest funeral in the history of Israel. The Rabbi knew that if a Christian were to deliver this message to the people of Israel, the whole land of Israel would immediately reject it. But when one of the most respected religious leaders makes such a statement, the people must listen.
Rabbi Kaduri made it so mysterious because he knew well that this sensational Messiah message would divide several families in Israel. For many do not want to be told anything by a Messiah who came to earth to die for our sins. They mock Him "as a failed Messiah". For many it would be terrible if a family member would convert to Jesus. It would have the status of sect membership and would be a shame for the whole family. Following Christ means suffering. But did not Jesus himself foresee this? Israel did not recognize the signs of the times 2,000 years ago and persecuted those whose eyes were opened:
Lk 12:51-56: "Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. 52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. 54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?"
Lk 12:28-35: "In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out. 29 And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. 30 And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last... 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’"
Many Jews cannot explain the contradiction often mentioned in the Bible, because sometimes the prophetic books tell of the suffering Messiah and then again of the strong Messiah who will liberate Israel with power and glory. According to Micah 5:1, the Messiah is born in Bethlehem as a man (cf. Mt 2:1-12) "who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days." Simeon had received a vision from the Holy Spirit that he should see the Messiah before he died (Luke 2:25-39). He said: "My eyes have seen your salvation" (Luke 2:30). Daniel 9 describes that the Messiah should die, and Psalm 22 even describes his words on the cross. The whole chapter of Isaiah 53 describes in great detail the suffering Messiah, who is led like a lamb to the slaughter to pay for our sins. For many Jews, Isaiah 53 is a forbidden chapter because it makes a clear reference to Jesus. If even a Roman centurion and his soldiers recognized (Mt 27:54) that Jesus (hanging on the cross) was the Son of God (the Messiah), why can Israel still not recognize it today, even though Jesus was a Jew, that is, from their own family? This was the first coming of the Messiah described in the OT. In contrast, the prophets write in many places that the Messiah appears also as a mighty Lord who makes war on the ungodly nations and comes down from heaven. In Zechariah 9:9-10 it is written that the Messiah enters Jerusalem humbly riding on a donkey (cf. Mt 21:1-11), but in Zechariah 14 he makes war against the nations that are gathering against Israel (Jerusalem). Many cannot explain the apparent contradictions. Some Jews therefore speak of the alleged two Messiah figures, namely of a son of Joseph (Messiah ben Joseph) and a son of David (Messiah ben David).
Here the solution is quite simple, because the Bible does not report of two Messiahs, but only of one, who however comes twice. Once he should come to die for the sins of men and pay the death penalty for them (as a result of sin), and then the second time to rapture his followers (the Bride of Christ) (see Rapture) and save Israel and the world from complete destruction during or after the Great Tribulation. Anyone who has not recognized these two coming of the Messiah in the Bible has not understood the entire plan of God, and could be running after a false Messiah, the Anti-Messiah (Anti-Christ).
What is the meaning of the Passover Festival, which is celebrated every year? Passover is the first festival of the year. It is the beginning of God's plan in
which the sinless lamb must die for the sins of others. For which lamb born in Bethlehem do the Jews wait until today when they reject Jesus? This was the first coming of the Messiah. He came as
the LAMB to be sacrificed and to save us from eternal spiritual destruction. But the second time the Messiah will come
as the strong LION to save Israel and the whole world from physical destruction.
Jesus Christ is: The Lamb of God = The Lion of Judah (Image: Link).
Mt 1:20-23: "But as he [Joseph] considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet [Isaiah 7:14]: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us)."
The first coming of the Messiah was not to save his people from the Romans, but "from their sins". The salvation of Israel and the world is yet to come. The first Christian church knew that the Messiah should come to earth not once but twice. This was clearly foretold by the ancient prophets of the OT. The first coming of Jesus was described in great detail, His birthplace, His life, His miracles, and even His last words on the cross (Psalm 22). The first time that Jesus came was to save us from eternal death by his death. He paid the death penalty for us. He also came to show us the way of love, which even includes love for our enemies. This is THE NEW COVENANT. It is a spiritual covenant that is open to people from all peoples and nations through conversion. It is the way of serving and loving, even to the enemies. That is the converted Christians (the followers of Jesus) died in the concentration camps of the Nazis, because they were executed as so-called "Bible researchers" and "cowards" and died together with the Jews through the hands of the false (pseudo) Christians. It was only the small group of converted Christians who were different and refused military service. Most Catholic and Protestant Christians by name were not interested in the Bible or the Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5-7), and certainly not in following Jesus in the way of love (even to the enemies). There are many more nominal, false and sham Christians who abuse Jesus' name for violence, lies, selfishness, sexual abnormality, fraud, etc., but deny Him through their actions. That is why many Jews cannot differentiate between those who live in Christian love in the following of Jesus and the other sham Christians, who allow themselves everything, sin and want nothing to do with the following of Jesus. And because the false Christians do not love the light of Jesus (His word), some also hate the Jews, that is to say the family of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. On the other side, the small group of converted Christians has been persecuted all over the world for 2,000 years, because they are different from the world. They have something that others do not have, namely love. That is why the Messiah came for the first time to die for our sins and to show us his way of love, so that we can be a light in this world and receive eternal life. Life here on earth is a education for eternity. That is the purpose of life, to learn love, so that there will never be problems in eternal life. Only the names of the righteous are written in the Book of Life. And only these can hope for a Rapture. The sinners and egoists will receive the second (eternal) death after the final judgment. But before that, Jesus will come the second time to save his true followers from this wicked world:
Heb 9:24-28: "For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. 25 Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, 26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him."
This is the message that Israel does not want to hear at the moment. Will it wake up when there will be the Rapture and the last 7 years of tribulation will begin? Israel desires a strong Messiah, not one who dies for the sins of mankind. They want to skip or simply ignore or deny this first step in God's plan. Therefore, Israel is still waiting for the coming of the Messiah. But most people have overlooked and not recognized that the Messiah has already been on earth once before and has already fulfilled the first part of God's plan for Israel and for all nations (that is to say, for all humanity). The second time Jesus will not come as the Lamb, but as the very strong Lion to defeat the wicked, to make peace and to save the world from man-made destruction.
The illustration shows the Kaduri note with the name of the Messiah. The first letters of each of the 6 words result in the name "Yehoshua", which corresponds to the Hebrew short version "Yeshua" and the Greek "Iesous" (Ιησους = Jesus). Photo: A meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri is held at the prime minister’s Jerusalem office in honor of the New Year 1997 (photo taken on 30 September 1997; source: Link).
Some Jewish groups have accused Christians of publishing false texts in order to justify Jesus as the Messiah. But this is completely wrong. Because a Christian does not have to prove anything to others at all, because he already knows 100% sure through the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the Messiah. This is why Jesus is called "Christos" (Hebrew: Maschiach) in the Greek language. It is not the task of Christians to tell the Jews about Jesus, because most of them do not want to hear anything about him and his way of life of love. Some even hate Jesus and his followers, especially those from Judaism (the Messianic Jews). Therefore, it is completely understandable that some Israelites want to reinterpret or hide the text of Kaduri with all their might.
Rabbi Kaduri's handwritten note was intended for Israel, not for Christians around the world. Therefore, the publication was only in Hebrew and not in English.
Christians don't need a Rabbi to know that Jesus is coming soon, because they themselves know this very well from the Bible. The level of knowledge of the Israelites has stopped with the Old Testament, because they reject the New Testament. So they cannot know the words of the Messiah when he was first here in the world. The New Testament reveals a lot of information that did not yet exist in the Old Testament, such as the direct words of the Messiah about love, the time of his return, the Last Days (Revelation) or the details of the Rapture.
The official statements of Rabbi Kaduri were therefore not intended for Christians, but for his own people (Israel). There is a big difference. So the publication was not in Christian magazines, but on official Jewish websites only in their original Hebrew language, which very few Christians in the whole world even understand.
Some Jews and even some Christians claimed that it was not Jesus but the devil who appeared to the rabbi. Satan also knows the name of the Messiah, but why should Satan reveal the name of Jesus (Yehoshua) to the people of Israel? For example, so that the Jews would realize that they had the wrong man crucified by the Romans and some would convert to Jesus Christ? Certainly not. It makes no sense. The devil could have given other names, for he also knows the name of the Anti-Messiah (Anti-Christ). Nor was it said that the Messiah should convert the Rabbi, but only that Kaduri (as the most respected religious man in Israel) should publish the name of the Messiah and warn his own people (Israel) of coming persecutions. The appearance of the Messiah was therefore not at all about converting the whole people of Israel, but only to reveal the name of the Messiah to the people of Israel and to inform them as a consolation that he would soon come. For hard times will be ahead for the country. Moreover, it must never be forgotten: At the moment, because of the many sins of the people (in the past), there is still a veil over the understanding of the Israelites that can only be laid aside through Christ. So most Israelites cannot yet recognize the Messiah Jesus Christ at this time. Kaduri also said that he must not reveal all his knowledge on this subject. But what he was allowed to say appeared on his own website.
Since Rabbi Kaduri also dealt with the Kabbalah and blessed amulets, which the Bible strictly rejects, some Christian pastors also interfered and publicly doubted that Jesus had appeared to the Rabbi. We don't know if the Messiah has appeared to him and do not want to make dogmatic statements. However, didn't Jesus himself say that he had come to induce people to repent? In the New Testament, it is written that Jesus criticized the Pharisees very hard ("you brood of snakes") and even accused them of sinning against the Holy Spirit (Mt 12:22-42; Mt 23; Lk 11:37-54). Nevertheless, Jesus appeared to one of them, namely Paul, a very well-trained Pharisee, who brutally persecuted the first Christian church of God and destroyed many families. Nicodemus also knew that Jesus was the Messiah; yet many Pharisees did not give up their old extra-Biblical teachings. Nicodemus, one of the chief Pharisees, said to Jesus: "Rabbi, we know [not "I know"] that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him" (John 3:1). Despite this knowledge, very few have converted to Jesus. Therefore, no one could expect Rabbi Kaduri to convert his disciples to Jesus during his lifetime. His mission was merely to publicly reveal the name of the Messiah to his own people of Israel (not to Christians).
The spread of Kaduri's short note could not be stopped. But since many Jews did not want to have a Messiah named Jesus, they tried to sow doubt by all means. Some claimed that it could not be the handwriting of Kaduri. But closer investigation revealed that it is his handwriting. This is also quickly made clear by comparing his signature on other documents. Moreover, the envelope was sealed and only the disciples of Kaduri were entitled to distribute this note. It was they themselves who confirmed its authenticity. There is no doubt about it. However, many simply cannot bear the truth and therefore look for other interpretations or excuses.
Some orthodox Jews made jokes and claimed that any name can be formed in the Hebrew Bible. They gave some examples where they simply picked letters out of individual sentences to form personal names. But this is not serious, because Kaduri's note is not about random letters that anyone can put together just as he wants, it is only about the first six letters of a word in a single sentence. This is a big difference and shows how some people spend energy just to discredit Kaduri's statements. Kaduri was very intelligent and he himself gave the solution to the Messiah question when he wrote: "Regarding the initial letters of the Messiah's name" or: "Concerning the letter abbreviation (=acronym) of the Messiah’s name..." And this results in only one possibility with only one name: Yehoshua. We are not talking about higher mathematics or tricks, but about facts that even any Hebrew child can see. But this makes some Orthodox Jews aggressive, because it is not the message they want to hear, even though it comes from their own highly esteemed rabbi und and not from Christians.
The Jews want another Messiah, but in no case Jesus, whom they call the "failed Messiah". They do not realize that the Messiah had to come first as the Passover lamb to pay for our sins (salvation from the spiritual destruction of mankind, death penalty); this is the spiritual symbolism of the Passover feast, which is celebrated every year in Israel. It is only the beginning (or the first stage) of God's plan for mankind. And only after this can the Messiah come a second time as the Lion to save Israel and the world from destruction (salvation from the physical destruction of the world).
Christians do not need any extra-biblical sources of rabbis to strengthen their faith in Jesus, since the Bible already contains everything a person needs spiritually. But it is interesting to point out what high-ranking Jews themselves say on this subject. For the publication of Rabbi Kaduri's text was done on Jewish websites and newspapers in the Hebrew text, as the example of News1 clearly shows. The corresponding document of Rabbi Kaduri was even published on the official website of www.kaduri.net by the disciples of the rabbi himself, who had known him personally for many decades and still venerate him today. They received this secret note from his hands personally and not from Christians. Later the text was removed from the website so that people would not get the idea that Rabbi Kaduri actually meant Jesus, whom he called the Messiah. This was to prevent many people from being converted. But Kaduri said exactly what he meant, namely that the name of the Messiah is Jesus (Yehoshua), even though almost nobody in Israel wants to hear this. Nevertheless, some of his followers became Christians because they realized for the first time who Jesus really was and why he had to die at the first coming. Here are the original sources in Hebrew:
The screenshot on the right shows the official website of www.kaduri.net at the end of 2006 and beginning of January 2007 (Link1, Link2). On the left-hand side was the main text for many months, which referred to the expectation of the revelation of the name of the Messiah. Translated: "Rabbi Kaduri in the last minutes of his life: it is time for our salvation. The Kabbalists will study the words and reveal the secret of the Messiah ... Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri Zatzokel: 'I have met the Messiah. ...from an article published on the 'First Class' News website." After Kaduri's note was opened in January 2018, the text on his website was replaced.

"Rabbi Kaduri's note bearing the name of the Messiah was revealed.
On the eve of the anniversary of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri's death, a note was left that left the old man with the name of Messiah.
Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri, who celebrated the first anniversary of the passing of the Kabbalist, revealed a note that bears the name of the Messiah. The note reads: "In the matter of the letter abbreviation [Acronyms, Ai] of the Messiah. The people will raise up and prove that His Word and teachings stand. I signed this in the month of Mercy [Elul] 5765, Isaac Kaduri." His followers said that the Rabbi did not leave a cipher to decode things, but the acronym for the text is "Yehoshua."
The illustration on the left shows the original Internet publication of the magazine News1 (former Nfc, News first class) of January 23, 2007 (Archive source: Link1, Link2). The translation of the Hebrew text below the note by Kaduri follows:
"Rabbi Kaduri - the Messiah's Note: Yehoshua.
A note containing the initials of the Messiah written by the Kabbalist Elder, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri, came to Nfc this evening (Tuesday, January 23, 2007). The note in question was written in Elul 2005, about five months before Rabbi Kaduri passed away."
The official website of www.kaduri.net (date: January 31, 2012) still publishes the rabbi's note with an explanatory text (source: Link). Short translations: "Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri spoke a lot about the Messiah, especially in his last years ... He said: "He who knows of the Messiah does not speak, and he who speaks this is proof that he does not know him, but the secret of the Messiah is the secret of half a state..."
"In the matter of the acronym for Messiah: The people will raise [lift] up and prove that his words and teachings stand. I signed this in the month of Mercy, Yitzhak Kaduri ..."

The magazine "israel today" published a long article on Monday April 30, 2007. The author was Aviel Schneider. The link is not available after so many years, but there are many websites on the Internet that publish the original text. QUOTE:
"Rabbi Reveals Name of the Messiah.
Shortly before he died, one of Israel’s most prominent rabbis wrote the name of the Messiah on a small note which he requested would remain sealed until now. When the note was opened, it revealed what many have known for centuries: Yehoshua, or Yeshua (Jesus), is the Messiah. A few months before he died, one of the nation’s most prominent rabbis, Yitzhak Kaduri, supposedly wrote the name of the Messiah on a small note which he requested would remain sealed until now. When the note was unsealed, it revealed what many have known for centuries: Yehoshua, or Yeshua (Jesus), is the Messiah.
With the biblical name of Jesus, the Rabbi and kabbalist described the Messiah using six words and hinting that the initial letters form the name of the Messiah. The secret note said:
"Concerning the letter abbreviation of the Messiah’s name,
He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid.
This is I have signed in the month of mercy,
Yitzhak Kaduri."
The Hebrew sentence (translated above in bold) with the hidden name of the Messiah reads: Yarim Ha’Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim. The initials spell the Hebrew name of Jesus, Yehoshua. Yehoshua and Yeshua are e ectively the same name, derived from the same Hebrew root of the word “salvation” as documented in Zechariah 6:11 and Ezra 3:2. The same priest writes in Ezra, “Yeshua son of Yozadak” while writing in Zechariah “Yehoshua son of Yohozadak.” The priest adds the holy abbreviation of God’s name, ho, in the father’s name Yozadak and in the name Yeshua.
With one of Israel’s most prominent rabbis indicating the name of the Messiah is Yeshua, it is understandable why his last wish was to wait one year after his death before revealing what he wrote.
When the name of Yehoshua appeared in Kaduri’s message, ultra-Orthodox Jews from his Nahalat Yitzhak Yeshiva (seminary) in Jerusalem argued that their master did not leave the exact solution for decoding the Messiah’s name.
The revelation received scant coverage in the Israeli media. Only the Hebrew websites News First Class (Nfc) and Kaduri.net mentioned the Messiah note, insisting it was authentic. The Hebrew daily Ma’ariv ran a story on the note but described it as a forgery.
Jewish readers responded on the websites’ forums with mixed feelings: “So this means Rabbi Kaduri was a Christian?” and “The Christians are dancing and celebrating,” were among the comments.
Israel Today spoke to two of Kaduri’s followers in Jerusalem who admitted that the note was authentic but confusing for his followers as well. “We have no idea how the Rabbi got to this name of the Messiah,” one of them said.
Yet others completely deny any possibility that the note is authentic. Kaduri’s son, Rabbi David Kaduri, said that at the time the note was written (September 2005), his father’s physical condition made it impossible for him to write.
KADURI’S PORTRAYAL OF THE MESSIAH
A few months before Kaduri died at the age of 108, he surprised his followers when he told them that he met the Messiah. Kaduri gave a message in his synagogue on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, teaching how to recognize the Messiah. He also mentioned that the Messiah would appear to Israel after Ariel Sharon’s death. (The former prime minister is still in a coma after suffering a massive stroke more than a year ago).
Other rabbis predict the same, including Rabbi Haim Cohen, kabbalist Nir Ben Artzi and the wife of Rabbi Haim Kneiveskzy. Kaduri’s grandson, Rabbi Yosef Kaduri, said his grandfather spoke many times during his last days about the coming of the Messiah and redemption through the Messiah. His spiritual portrayals of the Messiah - reminiscent of New Testament accounts - were published on the websites Kaduri.net and Nfc:
“It is hard for many good people in society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood are hard to accept for many in the nation. As a leader, the Messiah will not hold any office but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign."
“Will all believe in the Messiah right away? No, in the beginning, some of us will believe in him and some not. It will be easier for non-religious people to follow the Messiah than for Orthodox people."
“The revelation of the Messiah will be fulfilled in two stages: First, he will actively confirm his position as Messiah without knowing himself that he is the Messiah. Then he will reveal himself to some Jews, not necessarily to wise Torah scholars. It can be even simple people. Only then he will reveal himself to the whole nation. The people will wonder and say: ‘What, that’s the Messiah?’ Many have known his name but have not believed that he is the Messiah.”
FAREWELL TO A ‘TSADIK’
Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri was known for his photographic memory and his memorization of the Bible, the Talmud, Rashi, and other Jewish writings. He knew Jewish sages and celebrities of the last century and rabbis who lived in the Holy Land and kept the faith alive before the State of Israel was born.
Kaduri was not only highly esteemed because of his age of 108. He was charismatic and wise, and chief rabbis looked up to him as a Tsadik, a righteous man or saint. He would give advice and blessings to everyone who asked. Thousands visited him to ask for counsel or healing. His followers speak of many miracles and his students say that he predicted many disasters.
When he died, more than 200,000 people joined the funeral procession on the streets of Jerusalem to pay their respects as he was taken to his final resting place.
“When he comes, the Messiah will rescue Jerusalem from foreign religions that want to rule the city,” Kaduri once said. “They will not succeed for they will fight against one another.”
THE RABBI’S FOLLOWERS REACT
In an interview with Israel Today, Rabbi David Kaduri, the 80-year-old son of the late Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, denied that his father left a note with the name Yeshua just before he died.
“It’s not his writing,” he said when we showed him a copy of the note.
During a nighttime meeting in the Nahalat Yitzhak Yeshiva in Jerusalem, books with the elder Kaduri’s handwriting from 80 years ago were presented to us in an attempt to prove that the Messiah note was not authentic.
When we told Rabbi Kaduri that his father’s official website (www.kaduri.net) had mentioned the Messiah note, he was shocked. “Oh no! That’s blasphemy. The people could understand that my father pointed to him [the Messiah of the Christians].”
David Kaduri confirmed, however, that in his last year, his father had talked and dreamed almost exclusively about the Messiah and his coming. “My father has met the Messiah in a vision,” he said, “and told us that he would come soon.”
Israel Today was given access to many of the rabbi’s manuscripts, written in his own hand for the exclusive use of his students. Most striking were the cross-like symbols painted by Kaduri all over the pages. In the Jewish tradition, one does not use crosses. In fact, even the use of a plus sign is discouraged because it might be mistaken for a cross.
But there they were, scribbled in the rabbi’s own hand. When we asked what those symbols meant, Rabbi David Kaduri said they were “signs of the angel.” Pressed further about the meaning of the “signs of the angel,” he said he had no idea. Rabbi David Kaduri went on to explain that only his father had had a spiritual relationship with God and had met the Messiah in his dreams.
Orthodox Jews around the Nahalat Yitzhak Yeshiva told Israel Today a few weeks later that the story about the secret note of Rabbi Kaduri should never have come out, and that it had damaged the name the revered old sage."
UNQUOTE
Is the Kaduri note genuine or a fake or a forgery?
In addition to the original sources mentioned so far, there are numerous books on this subject in bookstores. There are also many videos on You Tube. Worth mentioning is the work of the You Tube channel REVELATIONCHAPTER12dotCOM. In it it is proved that the original message actually appeared on Kaduri.net and that it is indeed the handwriting of Rabbi Kaduri. Title of the Video: "Kaduri's Messiah Note: Proven 100% Authentic."
For centuries, false Messiahs (Christs) have been appearing again and again. This will also be the case in the Last Days, because most people will run after the Antichrist, the "false Messiah", Anti-Christ. But Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri has called the name of the real Messiah (gr. Christ) Jesus. In the name of Jesus the sick were healed, demons were cast out, the dead were raised, forces of nature were stopped and only His name guarantees eternal life for Jews and Gentiles. Only His name saves the whole world and only He is the entrance to eternal life in a spiritual dimension:
Yes, Jesus, the Messiah, was "the stone that was rejected" by most Jews. But for many from all peoples and nations he has become the building block of life and they eagerly await his coming and we wait for our deliverance. He was born in Israel:
Micah 5:2: "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days."
Mt 2:1-6: "Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; 4 and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet: 6 “‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’"
